Chicano Park
In the Chicano Park, there were many murals on wall, bridges, and even on buildings. We learned about how the park was painted on a long time ago for the people when they first arrived to San Diego from Mexico, or anywhere. There were also many statues of people that, I believe, were some of the first ones to come to this area.
In Chicano Park, there were also murals that would cover up an entire wall. They took much time in the process of creating so many works of art. We were to color pictures of some of the park’s wonders. An example of one is the Aduelita. She represent a rebel that did not just sit around waiting for things to happen. She stood up for the Chicano Park to save it from building a new structure.
